I am so excited this year for the World Cup because of the connections I made all around the world with the study abroad experience. I am of course rooting for USA but also invest my time in the other matches. This sporting event is an amazing competition which brings the whole world together. Like my favorite sport hockey, Americans don't really pay attention to soccer. Yet, I see so many people ready for this England vs. USA match. It makes me proud. That we can all come together. I can't wait for this match to begin!!! GO USA.

On a side note, my prayers go to the Mandela family for their loss. What a horrible event in the mist of a happy celebration.
